^thisI knew a Swedish guy at uni who used to bring back packets of this stuff called Djungelvraal (or something) which was liquorice covered in salt.

It's insidious stuff though - mate worked in Finland and brought back Salmiakki... which is ammonium-chloride-flavoured liquorice. First taste, nearly spat the things out. Two days later, eating them like sweeties. Maybe it's not just ammonium chloride in there ...
