But even entirely CGI films of recent years have been IMHO classics. Films like Toy Story (1&2) are throughly entertaining, with a goos story and characters.
Avatar brought a whole new idea to it too, with the 3D, etc. I'm not saying it is a classic film as such, but in future years it will be harked back to.

I have never seen a 3D film. I think part of the art of film making involves creating depth on a flat surface. 3D films are cheating!

I haven't enjoyed it on the other ones I've seen. If it looked like you were actually looking into a 3D scene then it'd be better, but even on Avatar it was like a series of layers distinct from one another.
