I have been to Munster
but I spent almost the entire time getting drunk in the park. Seemed nice enough, old university town, lots of bicycles.

ninjaedit had rendered this sterling advice useless.

Yeah, I changed my mind and thought Bremen sounded nicer.
I'm willing to be swayed on Munster though.

Think my outgoing plan is now: Bruges, Bremen (buy peanut crisps), Copenhagen (import blackmarket Marmite), visit a b3tan in Sweden, visit my favourite geek couple in Sweden (do the Midsommar thing).

Midsommar sounds awesome
copious drinking and lashings of pickled herring. I tried curried herring last year, nomtastic.

It's very cool.
I spent Midsommar there a few years ago. We got very drunk, sang some bizarre songs, went swimming in a lake during the midnight twilight and went joyriding in a canoe.
