but we do have a Great Edrejan Fayre which has lots of games, I think it originally was meant to the like the highland games, it isn't any more though

Canada in general is a really nice country.
It's just the Nova Scotians that have this weird Scottish fetish. The Newfoundlanders still sound Irish, but they don't have anything like that. They just drink and fight.
