The sequels certainly are.
The original is an OK film if you can leave your brain in a jar at the cinema foyer.

I was sixteen.
I didn't really give a shit about important things like plot, or character development. It had explosions and (for the time) mind-bending special effects. Now it just looks really, really dated.

The first time I saw it at the cinema
I thought it was terrible. In the light of the sequels it's like Citizen Kane / Apocalypse Now / the Godfather / Debbie Does Dallas *insert classic movie of choice*


I have not watched any of these films, btw
