*wags admonishing finger*

Or eat fewer Wagon Wheels?
Hopes this wagged finger doesn't have tickling potential

I really can't chastise anyone for the amount of sugary snacks they eat as it would be hypocrisy of the highest order...

So Friday and Saturday were two sizeable sessions. Yesterday I didn't drink excessively, but the combination of beer, cider, red and white wine and champagne have taken their toll.
I always get a headache with red wine.

Thank you.

It was the variety of drinks rather than the quantity of drinks that slowed me down today.

And they all said that Pulp were the best band they saw all weekend.

or it may have been the same one you showed me. Tennis boy doesn't think he'll be able to get the time off work, so I probably have a ticket going spare... go on... you know you want to...

Friends from the north are coming down to the West Country with their baby and I agreed to dinner/drinks without giving any real thought to the date.
If they cancel, then things might change, but it looks unlikely at the moment.
In other news. Should I buy a cow or a goat.

Can't you ask them to come another weekend?
What do you want a cow or goat for?
(, Sun 19 Jun 2011, 13:40, Reply)
And the wedding gift list is nothing but ethical stuff. So I could buy a cow or a goat or pay for a teacher to be trained.
To be fair, had details of where the bash was going to be held been posted earlier, it might well have prompted me to book a hotel room and to have remembered it. Like I said though, if they cancel, I'll come out and play. If they don't, then I won't!

Goat. Or teacher.

I can't imagine you'll be stuck with the gig ticket though, I'm sure someone going to the bash will want it. Granted, they won't be as much fun as me. But I reckon you'll cope.

oh well. Have you seen them live before?
(, Sun 19 Jun 2011, 14:03, Reply)
Oddly, on the occasions I've seen Jarvis live as a solo artist, the band backing him was made up of the members of Pulp - and the did perfom one or two Pulp tracks (although it was mostly his solo stuff).
Hang on, when you say you've never had a gig ticket that has been this hard to get rid of - do you mean that I wasn't the first person you offered it to?
(, Sun 19 Jun 2011, 14:13, Reply)
apart from the person it was bought for, yes, who has now decided she can't afford to go. Then when you were iffy I offered it to a bunch of other people too. Who mostly said no or were iffy themselves.

People are still advertising them on Gumtree at face value if you are concerned that you might get stuck with it, or might end up losing money on it.
(, Sun 19 Jun 2011, 14:28, Reply)
I'm not fussed about making a profit, or even getting my money back, I just want to give it to someone preferably who I know and who I know will have an absolute blast.

If I had time, I'd be there in a shot!
Are you still going with Al?
