I don't want to get robbed either, BGB.I'm such a worrier, it's horrible, I'm already worrying about getting robbed and/or murdered and I don't even have money saved let alone a passport

Naw, I've stayed in hostels all over the UK and europe and never, ever had a problem. Never felt uncomfortable, or unsafe. And they are tremendous value for money - after all, when you visit another country, you're hardly going to spend any time there apart from to sleep. So as long as it has a decent bed and a decent shower, who gives a shit - why pay more than you have to?

You can get murdered or robbed just the same in the USA you know.Stop fretting. Poppett seemed to do Ok while travelling and as far as I know she didn't get murdered or robbed once.
