That's not too bad (granted, i've got no idea what the time difference is)
But 7 hours is perfectly acceptable, you'll get a few meals, watch a few films and have a snooze. The time will fly-by.

5 hours difference
the flights I've looked at have all had me leaving friday night and arriving saturday morning, leaving monday morning, arriving monday afternoon

I'm too stupid to understand how it all works out.

You set off from BWI - I guess that's where you're looking - at 8.00pm and you get to London at 07.00 the following day, because while you're in the sky the sun hides behind the moon or something.

And when you go back it's just the same but the other way round.
