Yeah, it was some European guideline or other that they had to implement, I thinkthe rest was just laziness. It was easier to do it across the board and release it on request than it was to do the legwork and only block the affected parties in the first place.
Actually, more to the point, it was probably cheaper.

feckin annoying thoughespecially as I don't have a credit card so I had to go into a shop with my passport.
