I can't really think of one
the nearest thing to it was last Friday when my friend got a bit tired and emotional and told me I was a great fellow and gave me a hug. We were over-refreshed and standing in a kebab shop at the time, t'was beautiful.

On the subject of kindness though, how old/infirm would someone have to be before you'd give up your seat for them on a crowded train?
(, Tue 28 Jun 2011, 22:04, Reply)
they would have to show me a doctor's note
proclaiming them to be incapable of standing

While I was out having a ciggie at work last week
I was talking to some colleagues about the whole redundancy situation at our place and how crap it was. I mentioned that the offer of voluntary redundancy was too good to turn down since I had nearly 20 years service in. One of them looked me quizzically and asked how old I was, to which I replied "Forty".

"Bloody hell" she said, "I'd have guessed late twenties".

Which was nice.

she wasn't an idiot was she?

I have a whole book of these.
I must dip into at again.

I also have a book of Bushisms, which would be funny if it weren't so bloody scary at times.

Having a nice evening DG?
