It is... The lads are preening muscle marys and the lasses are loud mouthed slags...
They got the lasses right.
The producers also blatantly gave them catchphrase to use as I, nor any of my fellow Geordies have ever said them

To be fair I don't know anything about Geordies.But the guys seemed like pansys and the girls looked like they belonged in caravans.
