Oh and the best film of the eighties "gleaming the cube"

(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 14:08, 1 reply, 15 years ago)
Also the top skateboard film of the 80s, just pipping Police Academy 4: Citizens On Patrol

Its the only VHS I still own

(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 14:12, Reply)
I still have a Betamax of Rock 'n' Roll High School.
Terrible.
(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 14:14, Reply)
What is rock n rOll high school?

(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 14:15, Reply)
It's genius.
It's like 'Grease' but starring The Ramones. Don't listen to him - it's great.
(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 14:16, Reply)
I'll get it then. Sounds worth a watch

(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 14:17, Reply)
First DVD I ever bought was Rock 'n' Roll High School
It's awesome
(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 14:20, Reply)
*shakes hands*
Also The Ramones' 'It's Alive' DVD is one of the best things I own.
(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 14:22, Reply)
Don't get me wrong, I loved the Ramones,
but they were awful in this.
(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 14:18, Reply)
Ramones movie.
They're no actors, and obviously stoned out their biscuits.
(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 14:16, Reply)
How can you not like it? It's hilarious.

(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 14:17, Reply)
I'll get hold of a VHS player and give it a spin.

(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 14:21, Reply)
I've still got bags of VHS tapes in the loft
Well, if they refuse to bring out DVD versions of misunderstood gems like the vampire comedy (or Vampedy) 'Love Bites' starring Adam Ant I don't see why I should go tip-happy with my VHS collection.
(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 14:15, Reply)
I reckon I have 200+ kung fu films on VHS.
Then there are the break dance videos. Christ I have a LOT.
(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 14:18, Reply)
I watched a film called Ninja Assassin the other day
cheese-tastic, but there is some good kung fu, and the first scene is beautiful in how over the top gory it is.
(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 14:21, Reply)
Shogun Assassin is the best martial arts film I own.
Incredible soundtrack too.
(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 14:25, Reply)
What was the one with the baby in the pram?
There were several of them.
(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 14:27, Reply)
Shogun Assassin is all four Babycart films edited into one.
Same films.
(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 14:31, Reply)
That's the chaps.

(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 14:34, Reply)
Shogun Assassin has the most superb synth soundtrack added to it.

(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 14:37, Reply)
not watched any for a while
I like Jet Li's old stuff, like Twin Warriors or The Shaolin Temple

Iron Monkey is also a great film. There's a new one I watched some of the other day, and I can't for the life of me remember what it was called...
(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 14:28, Reply)
'Dogtown and Z Boys' is the not-joking best skateboard film I have seen.

(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 14:13, Reply)
Dramatisation or documentary?
Both are good.
(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 14:14, Reply)
I've only seen the doc.

(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 14:17, Reply)
Worth watching the dramatisation too, just for the wheelchair kid

(, Wed 29 Jun 2011, 14:18, Reply)
Hahaha always the case.
