I had like 4 glasses of wine before we left and then my roommate and I went through 3 pitchers of beer.
Didn't seem like much at the time. I thought I was going to barf. I didn't though

You'd need to step up your drinking training before you set foot on out fair shores though. What you had last night is known as 'breakfast' around these parts! :)

I don't think I'd be able to drink in a pub there, do you have bud light on tap? I doubt it

What makes it 'light'? We have a lot of dark beers, and IPA (Indian Pale Ale).
In fact, I don't think I've ever drunk Bud Light.

Or you might well find that cider is your tipple.

I'm talking about something cloudy, made from a single variety of apple and, if you get it in your eyes, it will make you blind.*

that camera shake is doing my eyes in

I've not been there in ages, not since I gave up drinking cloudy cider.
Too much pain is involved with a big cider session.

I've got getting on for 20 years 'experience' of drinking it. Therefore, I'm allowed to retire!

that and you don't know how to pace yourself or when to stop, I think...

I have always found that cloudy cider tastes vaguely how a barnyard smells, and I always feel ill after about two or three pints.

*epic sadface*
If it's your homemade jam, I'll be even more distressed.
