over the idea that someone who isn't a pervy old man can also do something that is legally/morally wrong when it comes to age.
I diagnose 16 year old who thinks everyone is getting some except for him

the boy I fancied was going out with a second year. I don't know whether he was shagging her, but he was 17 and she was 13. At the time, I wouldn't have classed him as a raging paedo. But that might be because my German teacher actually was a raging paedo.

My teacher was definitely shagging at least five girls in the fifth and sixth years. He was 32, which was relatively young, but still the worst thing a teacher can do.

some of my teachers smelled pretty bad. I'd say that was worse than sleeping with a number of students

Also, having been a teacher myself, I can't see how you can view teenage girls as anything other than children. They barely have the emotional maturity to conduct themselves in adult society, let alone conduct an adult relationship.

even if you ignore the wrongness, your point there is totally right. Added to which, if I were a teacher, I wouldn't want to shag a pupil who wanted to shag her teacher.

especially if it was a pupil.
"This homework is atrocious. Detention."
"You can't give me a detention, Sir, or I'll tell everyone about that time you spunked in my hair in the art room."

The only reason he stopped is because one of the girls (who I shared a dormitory with, actually)gave him an ultimatum - drop the other girls or she'd tell the headmaster.

At 17/18 I can *almost* understand the desire being there. But actually acting on it is out of order even for somebody that isn't in a position of power over them.

but then I'm struggling with the notion that my first proper boyfriend- same age as me, who I went out with when I was 16, is now at almost 23 with a new girlfriend who is just turning 17. I know it's legal etc etc, but it just seems weird to me

Anything beneath that is creepy. A 23 year old with a 17 year old is therefore creepy.
(, Tue 19 Jul 2011, 17:00, Reply)
it just felt weird that in the last 6 years he hasn't moved on from 16/17 year olds
(, Tue 19 Jul 2011, 17:01, Reply)
it's odd given that I'd never date anyone younger than 21

Trouble is, would I want to? Most girls I know of that age are annoying little gigglebots who read Hello magazine.
One day I will find me a sexy librarian.

And going grey. This is depressing.
I may have to dye my hair a bright artificial colour in defiance of reality.

but alas, I'm 30 in less than a month.

This has been happening since I was seventeen, mind.

I'm not going grey, but my natural colour is fucking boring

Liz Phair would certainly agree

I can laugh and make sick jokes about it, but when it all comes down to deadly seriousness then that's another matter entirely.
