the honest answer isthat some of it is, yeah. missing holidays and weekends and lots of social stuff for the 2 year training contract is hard. but it's also very challenging, the work is really varied, you meet lots of interesting bright people - i whinge on here because it's an outlet, but in fact as jobs go, it's a pretty bloody good one.

Of course, the other reason is that I'd find it all terribly tediousI did work in a shipping law firm about ten years ago. It was mostly shuffling through papers. Even then I was questioning why it wasn't all on hard drives. I bet it hasn't changed much, either.
