There's quite a lot of research to indicate
that people who pay for sex tend to be more violent towards women, objectify them more etc. Most studies indicate the vast majority of prostitutes have been raped while working as a prostitute and physically abused by their customers. For the most part those who work as prostitutes have been damaged by life, are often victims of childhood sexual abuse and in a lot of cases have PTSD. These aren't problems that legalising it will fix.

People should know what's on the other side of the sex industry,
rather than dealing in the idealistic 'what it could be like.' But it's not a big interest of mine

The difference between the ideal and the reality is a reason I've not tried it.
