The only time I've been was as part of a stag do
in Washington DC. The food was awful, the beer was awful, the fawning of the staff was awful.

When I go into a shop or a restaurant, I expect to be treated with barely-concealed contempt or, at best, total indifference. I hate being crawled at in a barely palatable attempt to squeeze a tip out of me.

The staff didn't fawn too badly in the Nottingham one
but nonetheless it was so deliberately set up to appeal to "blokes" that I have no desire to go back.
