Anyone still with-it?

(, Fri 12 Aug 2011, 22:58, 4 replies, latest was 14 years ago)
I'm here, sorta
been at the pub?
(, Fri 12 Aug 2011, 22:59, Reply)
Yeap!
Just got home. I'm looking forward to a nice lie in tomorrow. Is everything falling into place for your big move berk? Have you told thte kids you'll no longer be looking after them?
(, Fri 12 Aug 2011, 23:00, Reply)
I haven't actually :(
I'm not moving so far that I won't be able to come back if she needs me though. The thought that I have to be out in three weeks is rather depressing actually - I have so much bloody stuff it's untrue, and I haven't remotely started sorting or packing it.
(, Fri 12 Aug 2011, 23:07, Reply)
You need a couple of days off sick berk.
That's what you need!

Start getting boxes organised, start working out what you want and what you need and then START PACKING!
(, Fri 12 Aug 2011, 23:10, Reply)
Don't think that hasn't occurred to me
I would feel bad, although if next week starts the same way this week has been, I might feel more justified in pulling a crafty sickie.
(, Fri 12 Aug 2011, 23:13, Reply)
Nothing wrong with looking after number one.
You are conditioned to think that your 'employer' is right.
(, Fri 12 Aug 2011, 23:18, Reply)
We'll see
I did pull a sickie not that long ago, though. Well, about two months ago. Maybe I'll just leave early one day next week instead - god knows I have been doing 9 hour days all this week and I probably deserve it.
(, Fri 12 Aug 2011, 23:20, Reply)
Look after yourself berk.
Uncle Jeff says you ought to.

That'll be enough for ANY employer.
(, Fri 12 Aug 2011, 23:26, Reply)
Yeah booiiiiiiiiiiii.
Just got in, been walking/biking round since four - my legs hurt. Still because of my never ending connections I've got two free tickets for football tomorrow, so it's not all bad.
(, Fri 12 Aug 2011, 23:07, Reply)
Good work Bazza.
Who have you got this weekend? My favourite team are away to Cardiff on Sunday.
(, Fri 12 Aug 2011, 23:09, Reply)
Villa at home.
I'm looking forward to it, not seen the football crowd since I dunno actually. Must be April. Plus East London beckons afterwards, my little bro might even tag along.
(, Fri 12 Aug 2011, 23:17, Reply)
You should have the making of Villa.
I hope you'll stop your little bro from lootin' when, at 5pm London goes off.
(, Fri 12 Aug 2011, 23:20, Reply)
I don't think he's been with me for a 3pm home game before.
His eyes will be opened, especially seeing as it's first game of the season. People will be 'fizzing', as us Fulham folk like to say.
(, Fri 12 Aug 2011, 23:24, Reply)
I'll check my train times for your home against QPR
If I can make it, I'll be there. The KLF (one former member of) can meet the Nigerian Whites!
(, Fri 12 Aug 2011, 23:25, Reply)
Magical.
It's still a 3pm game at the moment, don't think it'll get picked for Sky. The only thing that could change it is if we have a European game during the week, but going from when we were in the group stages two years ago they were scheduled for late October not the beginning.
(, Fri 12 Aug 2011, 23:45, Reply)
Just about.

(, Fri 12 Aug 2011, 23:10, Reply)
Woo!

(, Fri 12 Aug 2011, 23:19, Reply)
Er... Thanks...
I haven't been on for bloody ages, bit of a stint earlier today, some things never bloody change.
(, Fri 12 Aug 2011, 23:20, Reply)
Eveidently, you are underwhelmed by being here...

(, Fri 12 Aug 2011, 23:23, Reply)
It's not a bad thing.
More like a really old pair of boots. Falling apart, ugly and broken, but comfortable and familiar.
And that's just Al.
(, Fri 12 Aug 2011, 23:25, Reply)
I'm glad you said Al.
It sounds like me.
(, Fri 12 Aug 2011, 23:26, Reply)
Evenin' Jeff
We just watched a really good BBC4 documentary about Elvis and his time in Vegas. Just started to watch The Bone Collector because the missus can't remember watching it. I can, which is why I'm on here.
(, Fri 12 Aug 2011, 23:18, Reply)
I'm watching an old epsiode of Minder,
With a beer.
(, Fri 12 Aug 2011, 23:18, Reply)
That's livin' alright
No, hang on, that wasn't Minder was it?

I have rum by the way, beer gives me too much heartburn these days. As does water, coke and pretty much everything else you could drink apart from milk.
(, Fri 12 Aug 2011, 23:21, Reply)
Does rum and milk give you super-powers?

(, Fri 12 Aug 2011, 23:22, Reply)
Depends,
Is heartburn and vomiting a superpower in your book?
(, Fri 12 Aug 2011, 23:25, Reply)
Pretty much, yes.
It would clean an aisle in Asda in record time,

What sort of rum are you enjoying?
(, Fri 12 Aug 2011, 23:27, Reply)
Sailor Jerry's is nice, I discovered at the weekend.
I'm fairly sure rum and milk would make me heave though.
(, Fri 12 Aug 2011, 23:33, Reply)
Sailor Jerry is often a 'quid a shot' at a Wetherspoons.
Thus making it a nice (and cheap) way of getting spannered!
(, Fri 12 Aug 2011, 23:35, Reply)
Sailor Jerry's is evil in a bottle

(, Fri 12 Aug 2011, 23:38, Reply)
Why?

(, Fri 12 Aug 2011, 23:39, Reply)
Just one of those drinks
where bad things happen
(, Fri 12 Aug 2011, 23:39, Reply)
I have had this with tequila
I literally cannot drink the stuff now - vile.
(, Fri 12 Aug 2011, 23:41, Reply)
Even the thought of Sailor Jerry's makes me feel a bit ill

(, Fri 12 Aug 2011, 23:50, Reply)
You've not drunk enough of it!

(, Fri 12 Aug 2011, 23:39, Reply)
I have drunk far too much of it

(, Fri 12 Aug 2011, 23:39, Reply)
Sad times.
I was the same with 'gin' for a while, but I trained myself out of that.
(, Fri 12 Aug 2011, 23:43, Reply)
We favour the dark rum here
Caribbean rum is nice neat over ice
(, Fri 12 Aug 2011, 23:44, Reply)
You betcha
It splits my monobrow in twain, Roger Moore impressions abound in Casa Clay, oooh yeah!

I think it was Auf Wiedersehn, Pet.
