but i like this house
and it's too much effort to move out

mold is surprisingly bad for you

(, Tue 16 Aug 2011, 10:00, Reply)
My house is mouldy and it's giving me a nasty cough.
I'm only putting up with it because I'm moving soon and the rent's so cheap.

It is not good for you and potentially fatal for asthma sufferers.

my house doesn't have a trace of it
which is excellent, but that's because it's fairly large and was built by the Victorians, who knew how to build houses.

The Victorians really knew their stuff.
Anything with iron or brick and they were your lads.

definitely
none of the walls are straight, but that doesn't really matter
(, Tue 16 Aug 2011, 10:04, Reply)
Yeah, I'd much rather have a smaller, Victorian house
than one of these cheaper, flatpak new ones.
(, Tue 16 Aug 2011, 10:06, Reply)
I have the luxury of having a good sized Victorian house
I remember sitting down on the sofa in my living room for the first time and noticing that the ceiling is higher than the room is wide.

gotta love high ceilings

hard to change lightbulbs, though

(, Tue 16 Aug 2011, 10:11, Reply)
I can just reach the lightbulbs to change them if I stand on tiptoes with my arm outstretched

(, Tue 16 Aug 2011, 10:14, Reply)
I love that. I am pretty tall, so I tend to feel pretty hemmed in with most modern housing.
First time I set foot in a flat converted from a Victorian townhouse, I fucking loved it.

could explain the little cough
i had for months. but i get a nice view and it's hard to find anything which isn't damp round here
(, Tue 16 Aug 2011, 10:02, Reply)
that's Wales for you

(, Tue 16 Aug 2011, 10:02, Reply)
yeah
well i'm stuck here now
