I made duck with plum, star anise and chinese spice sauce the other day, with mustard mash and beans fresh out of the garden.

the cabbage thing me and Ape mentioned above is something I've done with roast duck legs and crispy little roast potatoes before.

I've never made cabbage
it's something I'll eat if it's put in front of me, but I've never bothered to do it myself. It sounds marvellous though, so perhaps I shall.

only use savoy
or pointed (sweetheart) cabbage. They are the tastiest and nicest in texture.

steam it or kind of fry it with a bit of oil and water in a big lidded pan for best results.
