Tried to order samples of some chemicals from one of our suppliers, didn't get the order by the scheduled delivery date, rang up to ask why,
found the order had apparently completed without any goods being picked or dispatched, spent several days being passed back and forward by the sales and technical teams arguing about whose responsibility it is to put orders on the system, placed the order again, got some of the order by the scheduled delivery date, asked where the rest of it was, eventually got an answer after two emails and a phone call (they didn't have any drum stock in the UK warehouse and hadn't thought to sample some of the bulk stock), and finally got the complete order nearly six weeks after it was placed.

Bloody farce.

Three weeks ago we had a printer delivered to our St Albans branch. It couldn't be installed as it was missing the fax module.
We rely on faxes, so it had to be sorted before the old one could be removed. Three weeks go of toing and froing between various accounts people and engineers all swearing blind that they have stock problems and they'll try to get one out as soon as possible before somebody at the branch thinks to mention the package from Xerox head office they received marked "fax baseboard" that they got two days after the printer first arrived.
