I've used umami paste in a venison stew
hard to say if it made it taste better, though, it was pretty tasty the last time I made it (without the paste). I suspect it's a bit gimmicky, just use Worcestershire Sauce instead.

I think it will be a similar thing
same sort of ingredients as worcestershire
