Sorry, Apey, I'm sick of people whinging and whining over perfectly normal weather.

I agree...although me and the misses have been tempted by a move down under
we havea couple of friends in Sydney and they love the lifestyle

I'd happily move to Australia, or New Zealand
I'm thinking about Canada at the moment though. All I know for certain is that I dont' want to stay here.

New Zealand is lovely, but a bit too parochial
Canada is a top destination for brits emmigrating, as the cities are clean, safe, well priced, stable zzzzzzzzzz...feels a bit tedious.

Also, Canadians are basically french-Americans

Don't tell anyone outside Quebec that. They'll deck you.
As would the Quebecois, except they're weak and cowardly due to being French.

hahaha
yeah I'm being facetious, canada just feels a little dull; agreed the landscape etc is incredible but how much time would you actually spend in it?

What do you do for a living?

Canada's quite an interesting place. A lot of the big cities are pretty dull, I believe.
But I guess it depends on what you're into. The city I'm looking at is kind of an arty Camden, only without the Londoners stinking it up.

I'm in IT. I'd be doing either networking, or AV-over-IP, which amounts to much the same thing.

I was gonna say that if you are a lumberjack you'll be in luck
however IT is pretty universal...what town are you looking at?
(, Wed 31 Aug 2011, 17:04, Reply)
Halifax, Nova Scotia.
It's really the only relatively large town in the province. It's about the size of Woking.

I also intend to start restoring old cars, once I get some land.

That's going to be some change!
