I'm not a fan but that's mainly due to the paintstripper type stuff served up in italian restaurants. I'm sure well made stuff is nice, like decent grappa.

When I lived in Islington
I went to a v v fancy Italian place where I had grappa for the first time - it was absolutely delicious and I thought I'd 'found' a new drink. I bullied a friend into bringing me back a load from a business trip in Milan (we experts call it 'Milano', before watching some challenging 'film') - it was fucking filth.

I'd rather drink Kroney's poo-juice than go near it ever again.
