John Cleese innit

(, Wed 7 Sep 2011, 12:41, 1 reply, 14 years ago)
he's been a bit of a tit lately.
Banging on about England (or was it London, no matter, same thing) not being English any more. It's a shame, I used to like him. David Starkey also.

I've never liked Starkey.
Admired him, yes - but he's a creepy little weirdo with a reputation for being an aggressively predatory homosexual. This has nearly cost him his career a couple of times already, so the 'massive racist' bit is merely the icing on a rather unpleasant cake.

he is clever and annoys people.
I generrally value these traits in combination. It wasn't very clever racism, which is why it annoyed me.

I believe his point is that London is chock full of efniks, which it is
On foot of which London got the Olympics due to it's perceived multi-culturalism.
OMGHE@SAFUCKINGRACIST!!!!!1111!!!

Surely his point was
that London is full of ethnic minorities AND HE DOESN'T LIKE THAT.

Not just that it is?

Mind you, he also hates Weston-Super-Mare for being too 'old fashioned British', so I think he just hates everything.

And..um...something about booze...

(I assume you were still talking about Cleese, given the Olympics reference, and not Starkey, as his point was entirely different)

this being the bit that made him a racist.
That and assuming he could tell you nationality by looking at you, silly man.

Exactly.
