I bet she does some sort of heston bloomingtile style thing with verious chemicals so the coat changes colours, smell and texture depending on applied friction, heat and moisture.

I managed to spill something on my jeans once
and had to wander round all day in just my pants with the labcoat over the top. Which was a rather novel look.
