Someone had come in to set up the video conferencing thingy, and had the telly on. The office gradually came to a standstill as everyone got word and silently filed into the conference room to see the events unfold.
My ex wife was on a residential course at the time so I tried ringing her to see if she'd heard about it. I couldn't get through. About four months later I realised that it was because she was shagging someone else behind my back and had her phone turned off.

Tell ya what though. Thanks for all of your pub suggestions. I stayed over the road from the Black Bull, so I did most of the pubs along that little strip.

It's only about a ten minute walk away from the Grassmarket.

Head up there, turn left at the top, go straight ahead to the Royal Mile, bear right and walk about a quarter of a mile. Pass the top of Cockburn St and cross the road, Binkies is on the right just down a hill. There's a detached hotel just before it, a big, opulent looking building.
