The answer to that is indeed YES!

I can always rely on you to tell me what I want to hear
(Atrocious puns notwithstanding)

How's tricks?
(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 20:55, Reply)
Not bad. I'm shattered (as seems to be my stock answer to all questions of late, asking me how I am).
I'm toying with the idea of watching Spooks at 9pm. This is how rock and roll my Sunday is.

You're not alone in this respect
I've spent my whole weekend in the office. Hopefully it will prove to be worth it in a couple of weeks' time, but I'm also knackered as a result, and this is why I'm sitting at home drinking by myself and nattering on here.

What beer have you got?

(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 21:00, Reply)
Just finished a bottle of St Peter's Ruby Red
Now moved onto the St Peter's Best Bitter. Both as delightful as I remember them being, but still a humble second place compared to the Mild of theirs I had the other night.

Good work!

I've decided against Spooks.
I'm going with 'The Secret Life of the Airport' on BBC4.
(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 20:59, Reply)
On a school night? Steady on...

(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 21:00, Reply)
I can watch Spooks in the week.
If this airport thingy is shite, I can justify going to bed early.
(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 21:01, Reply)
Did you know us Brits have 44 public airports?
Well. Did ya?
(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 21:01, Reply)
I did not.
Thinking about it, I'm not surprised. It's just not something I ever really thought about...
(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 21:03, Reply)
I know which the least used one is
Is BBC4 telling you that?
(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 21:05, Reply)
Not yet.
Give it chance.

Walney
Sorry to break the suspense.

We're still on Croydon at the moment.

(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 21:13, Reply)
The most important thing I ever learned from the brief times I've spent in Croydon
Was to get the fuck out of Croydon.
(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 21:15, Reply)
That's probably why they had/have an airport.
For that very reason.
(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 21:16, Reply)
It is Croydon's best feature: numerous and varied public transport links
Trains, trams, aeroplanes - nearly every conceivable way to get you out of that depressing hole.

Except horse-drawn stagecoach. Part of me would like to write to Croydon Council and have them remedy this.
(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 21:17, Reply)
Maybe stagecoach are their bus operator.
You might want to check that first.
(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 21:22, Reply)
Yeah, but they're typically automobiles.
The last Stagecoach bus I boarded was notable for its lack of horses, both in the front and in the passenger areas.
(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 21:25, Reply)
I felt like that too
Now I live in Bradford.

I have RECIDIVIST tattoed on my forehead.
(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 21:17, Reply)
And to think people say you'll regret your tattoos when you get older...

(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 21:18, Reply)
I may have
"Lived in Croydon 1999-2000" added.

Then they'll understand.
(, Sun 18 Sep 2011, 21:20, Reply)
In could come in handy in emergencies
A bit like one of those tags to warn paramedics you're allergic to penicillin or what-have-you.

"Wait! This poor bastard once lived in Croydon."
"Well, that explains the psychosis...but how else are we supposed to get this hoover off the end of his penis?"
