There is nothing urgent about my situation at the moment, only that I know I won't have enough cash
saved by Christmas to jump on a plane and go away for a month or two, so a bit of planning is in order.

What sort of values are they looking for answer on?

Customer focus
Openness, respect, integrity, innovation, reliability and motivation. I can answer them, but fifty words is a bit tight.

I can't imagine it's that easy to complete.
But on the plus side, any job that provides a challenging application process will get fewer applicants for it. Most people will just post their C.V online and then wait and see what happens.

I've filled in similar types of application before
but none have had such a restrictive word count. Still, it's an online form that can be saved, and I've got all week to do it but I'd like to have it out of the way by Wednesday at the latest.
