Nah', it'll add a slight sharpness to it which gets balanced out by the icing sugar and the chocolate will leave the main and after tastes of of chocolate that coat your mouth.
Think of a cheesecake.

but while I like cheesecake, never liked chocolate cheese cake, might just go with chocolate, cream and brandy.

Just sugar and water, you have to watch it 'cus it'll take 5-10 minutes to start and then 30 seconds to go from carmel to treckle.
The cream turns it into butterscotch.
