Splendid thank you
Am cooking chicken with mustard & rosemary, accompanied with spinach and a baked spud. Had a superb weekend away in Guernsey & Herm and am enjoying having some time to myself now I have resigned.

Had some excellent cider in Guernsey: Roquette - ever tried it?

What is the going rate for a kilo of cans?

(, Mon 17 Oct 2011, 19:54, Reply)
Don't know but gold is down 0.15% today to £34 a gram.

(, Mon 17 Oct 2011, 19:57, Reply)
Short lived market confidence in Euroland, that won't last

(, Mon 17 Oct 2011, 19:58, Reply)
Gold is down a lot in the last 30 days.

(, Mon 17 Oct 2011, 19:59, Reply)
Gold peaked in August 1983.
True.

Shame that one-eyed wanker sold the UK reserve off so cheaply.
I don't have the figures but suspect that VAT may not have had to be increased as far as 20% if it had been sold in the last few months instead to help reduce the deficit.

Tony Hadley only has one eye?

(, Mon 17 Oct 2011, 20:08, Reply)
Tony Hadley is a miserable fat cunt. I told him this about 4 years ago when I was pissed and introduced to him in the 5th floor bar at Harvey Nicks.

So true...
Funny how it seems.

He should be sent through the barricades. To prison. For crimes against music.

You've caught on! :)

(, Mon 17 Oct 2011, 20:19, Reply)
Ah you see. I'm living the lifeline now.

(, Mon 17 Oct 2011, 20:22, Reply)
It's still a good bet considering how shakey confidences are at present
There's alot of folded arms and tutting in the Euroland and precious little else. QE is having little effect. Still continued low interest rates leaves the austute quids in.
(, Mon 17 Oct 2011, 20:02, Reply)
Agreed.

(, Mon 17 Oct 2011, 20:03, Reply)
I haven't tried Roquette. I'm guessing it's a channel island 'special'.

(, Mon 17 Oct 2011, 19:47, Reply)
It is and a good one.
4.5%, semi dry. Good session beverage.
(, Mon 17 Oct 2011, 19:50, Reply)
I'm still off the cider - and getting fewer chest pains as a result!

(, Mon 17 Oct 2011, 19:51, Reply)
First time I have had cider since a load of Breton at our wedding in June.
Only tried it as it was one I hadn't had before & glad I did.

Must admit I haven't missed the acid gut I was getting from drinking cider all the time.
