But seriously, don't underestimate pester-power, if your daughter has the idea in her head to stay with you she should be able to influence her mother.
It won't be easy, as it would unfair to slag off your ex to her, but if she knows how much you would love to have her stay with you and would do anything to make it happen then she will soon try to get her own way.
