Well as a teaqcher you might just make it in
with the right qualifications and an offer of work. If you really want to stay, talk to the people you are working with about sponsoring youe immigration.

The management seem to like me already as I have 9 years in a pressurised sales environment

Worth doing iof it's really what you want.
I gather (was married to someone who desparately wanted to live there) getting a job is the main thing and the biggest hurdle. you have your foot in the door, I reckon if you can impress them over the next weeks you have a very good shot.
