Yet again, more chances, more shots on goal, etc. Was made worse by my Manc mate laughing at me the entire night.
Ah well, Karma is a bitch.

Any sign of Rory since the weekend?

He was at the game too, I don't think he was too impressed with the result.
After all, the last time Man Utd fans were fucked over that badly, Ian Huntley went to prison.

I'm particularly fond of "Manchester United concede a goal to a man unable to not burn his own house down"
Although "14.23. Johnny Evans" is a beautiful summary of the whole game, really.

If I were Evans I'd fucking emigrate. The only Mancunians happy to see him will be City fans.
So he'll be safe in all parts of Manchester, etc

that the last 7 games have been a blip, and his talent is in fact more aptly demonstrated by "the entire rest of his career"
I was trying to craft some gag about picking up a booking for not being able to rape properly, but that's probably in very poor taste.

and making jokes about false accusations is not on. Unless they're about that cunt Ronaldo.

This week, he's accused the entire Man City squad of rape.

"go on, call Evra a nigger. No, it's not a bad word. He loves it"

Unless that advice is in the field of fouling people and getting away with it

It's not the first time Evra has accused someone of racism, and it's not the first time Suarez has been a fucking reprobate.
There are 3 outcomes, I think -
1) Suarez is shown to have been racist, hopefully heavily disciplined. I don't want to see things like that in football.
2) Can't be proven that he did or didn't, case gets thrown out.
3) Camera shows that at no point Suarez did anything, Evra disciplined heavily.
Tbh, I think it's going to be 2, as surely the footage has already been viewed enough times by now?

To be fair to Evra (even though he's a tool) the first time it wasn't him who made the accusation, several deaf viewers complained to sky that they could lipread Steve Finnan calling him "a fucking nigger" (I think) in a game v Liverpool. And then he accused a member of Chelsea ground staff of calling him "a fucking immigrant" which, given it's Chelsea, I would bet my life savings on being true, but it wasn't proved.

but in the grand scheme of things it doesn't really matter, because it wasn't a win for City on an even playing field. Even Mancini admitted Man U were better until Evans went. It's 3 points lost. Same as putting 8 past Arsenal was only 3 points gained. Man U will finish above City in May.

Ferguson has plenty of experience in getting his teams to bounce back, City can't play this well all season.
Nonetheless. If an oil crisis of some kind causes Sheikh Mansour to pull out, no new owner can be found, the wage bill sends the club into administration, all assets are stripped and players offloaded in a fire sale and the club falls to the foot of League Two... City fans will STILL be harping on about this result in thirty years' time.

My thing with City is not the money (Madrid are a beautiful demonstration of the fact that it can't buy you what you crave) but that I don't actually think Mancini is any good as a manager - a Tesco Value Mourinho - and that they self-evidently play as series of (admittedly hugely talented) individuals, and Gareth Barry. That people are slightly glossing over the fact that City have yet to play Chelsea, Liverpool or Arsenal. From which Man U have 7 points out of 9 and +8 GD. So, y'know, reserve judgement and that.

but, no, it isn't really. any more than any other interest is acceptable if others don't share

City have started brilliantly but the key word there is "started". I actually think Mancini is a decent manager but is perhaps City's Ranieri. Luckily for them Steve McClaren and Sven Goran Eriksson are both available for hire now.
Must single out for praise your point about them not being a team per se - even I could get goals out of Balotelli, Aguero, Dzeko and Silva when they're playing like this.
