I've just realised that my choice of phrasewas possibly inappropriate.
I agree partially. It's trying to mod /talk that's doomed: that's like trying to calm down a hornets' nest by waggling a stick around inside it.

I believe if you blow smoke in the nest it dulls them.Maybe he should set talk/ on fire.

TRUFAX:Blowing smoke into a beehive doesn't sedate the bees. They do, however, start to believe that the hive is on fire, and so devote all their attention to rescuing honey, grubs, and the queen, rather than stinging you.
