they don't check that kind of shit in a serviceservice means "change oil, grease shit, check wear on brakes"
although they really should have checked the coolant level so it shouldn't be low.

yes. yes, they do.there is a lot of "shit" to "grease" but generally they pay more attention to the safety parts, ie brakes, suspension, etc than to the engine.
