Yeah', I do that.
It's just not right if doesn't end in a '5' or '0'.

But seriously, let's say it works on a percentage, I can see there needing a definition between 30 and 40 %
But do you really need all 9 between them? Has anyone ever thought to themselves "My optimal listening volume is just above 30 and just below 35, GOD DAMN IT, WHY CAN'T I PUT IN 32%?".

Also, in turkish currency, they don't care about the odd cents, so you'll never get change or expected to pay extra, if something is 1.99, you pay them 2 and don't get any change. If something is 99.25 you pay them 99. Yet still, in shops, they do have those few cents, I think it works in devisons of 1/4s of 1 unit (lira) but I can't remember exactly. That's how it should be, who cares about 8p here and 12p there? However, I think if we did do that over here, charty would take a mahoooive dive.

I turn it up until I can hear it without straining or mising stuff
Sometimes that's 30, sometimes it's 27, sometimes it's 16.

You know what, thinking about it, I know why they do that now, why they don't limit it by a devision of 5.
It's because if you got a brother or a sister, and one of you wants 30 and the other wants 35, then to stop them fighting over the volume of the controller, they can go 33 on this show and then 32 on the next show.... that way everybody wins, except for those of us who like devisons of 5.

You've undoubtedly hit the nail on the head here.
