Oh I don't think the majority are always right, quite the reverse in fact.But even leaving processed pap out of the discussion you either enjoy a song/artist or you don't, it's not something you arrive at based on evidence or rational argument, it's an emotional reaction, arguing about who'd right is a big game of my dad's bigger than your dad.

Again, agreed, if I implied popular = not shit, I didn't intend toI just meant, well, exactly what you are saying really, that arguing against it is an exercise in futility. So it's best just to ignore what you don't like and leave others to it.
