I am drying off from having to walk in the rain. Due to no car my journey home takes more like an hour and 10 minutes than the usual 15-20 minutes.

the walking bit's not that far really
especially not by your standards - 10 minutes from college to station, 15 minutes from bus stop to house.

In the rain, it seems like miles, I know this.
I was only horribly unprepared once, I walked about five miles totally soaked through trying to get somewhere that wasn't massively extortionate by cab home. The driver laughed when he picked me up, I was utterly fucking drenched.
