I do love that Devil_in_Tights poster, he's horribly handsome and he touched my knee on Saturday and my clitoris exploded.
I'm eating a bacon offcuts and salami sandwich and drinking cheap cider, it's fucking austerity rock and roll round these parts. What are you doing?

I'm sat on a train
resenting every mile and minute between me and my bed.

I couldn't commute, humans piss me off far too much to spend time with a group of randoms in an enclosed space day after day after day after day.
I have a suggestion though, Alan Partridge's I, Partridge autobiography on audiobook is one of the most amusing things I've ever heard. Audiobooks have changed my life, I've listened to so much literature recently it's been a revelation.
(, Wed 16 Nov 2011, 18:45, Reply)
I have never found him particularly amusing
i've had the new florence and the machine album on repeat all this week. I can't decide if it's genius or a bit same-y.

AH-HAAAAAAAAAAAA!

It's samey.
I can say this with certainty even before I knew it existed.
(, Wed 16 Nov 2011, 18:57, Reply)
Samey, shamey.
I'll sort you out with I, Partridge sometime, it's mirthworthy.

Oh DG don't make me feel guilty, it wasn't teh food that was the problem
it was the booze, all that lovely, lovely booze, it made me all poorly and I'm really sorry I didn't come and see you.

We'll always have the Cove, al.
That first night on the balcony, trying not to hit one's head on the incredibly low door frame as we went out to the smoking area... The growing realisation that we both weren't really Geordie's, and the time thinking that bert was so shy and reserved...

especially not by your standards - 10 minutes from college to station, 15 minutes from bus stop to house.

In the rain, it seems like miles, I know this.
I was only horribly unprepared once, I walked about five miles totally soaked through trying to get somewhere that wasn't massively extortionate by cab home. The driver laughed when he picked me up, I was utterly fucking drenched.

I had a dream where I cut my hand off and was ramming myself into a granite wall.
I was listening to Journey to the Centre of the Earth in my dreams and he got stuck and melancholy in a passage away from his cohorts. I thought the only way to end it all was proper maimage. Turns out that's just a good way to end a dream.

I found Westerns cider, three litres for £5.50 in Tesco, sounds like a bargain. I've had five almost-pints and I reckon there's less than half a carton left, they've short-changed me and no mistaking it. I've got a new satnav, I'm tempted to hunt them down and feed them their foil packaging with the annoying half-pint at the bottom you can never get.

i fought for my right to stay and work until IT brought me a laptop so i could work from home - i am just so busy at the moment, being off sick will only mean i have to work the weekend. and i have a horrid cold, but it's not serious, and there's noone in my room as the trainee IS off sick, so i couldn't see the harm.

IT couldn't get me a laptop until about 2.30pm, by which point i had scheduled a v important meeting at 4pm and it didn't seem fair to ask my boss to go, so i had to stay. now i am just catching up, as i might as well finish this shit!

That's one of my favourite things about doing bumbles.
The raving part is great, don't get me wrong, but it flies by. Best bit is always back at someone's gaff, hot sweet tea, spliffs and coming down. Taxi home at 6 am, asleep by 9 am then up at 12.

I miss all that.
(, Wed 16 Nov 2011, 19:52, Reply)
I enjoyed it all but I don't miss it.

(, Wed 16 Nov 2011, 19:55, Reply)
I very much miss it.
But I am too old, too skint and my short to medium term memory is too damaged to go back to those heady days of speckled Mitsubishi's, skunk and raving.

One time, after I went to see Unklesounds DJing (James Lavelle had missed his plane so it was only Rich File) I had way too many bumbles. Mega strength shit. I walked about three miles back to my mate's gaff and collapsed outside.

Great night all in all, when Rich File played Hand to Phone by Adult. the whole fucking place went off.
(, Wed 16 Nov 2011, 20:00, Reply)
Cool story.

(, Wed 16 Nov 2011, 20:02, Reply)
There is way more to it than that.
The full tale involves an extremely cute cloakroom girl, throwing up while in the queue because I was coming up hard, having to remain calm in front of the bouncers, walking through Aberdeen at 4 am and it being daylight, dancing to breakbeat, recovering from the ordeal and a five hour train journey home with that burned out, empty headed feeling that only high grade ecstasy comedowns can give you.
