I'm both deeply disturbed and slightly impressed by the effort you've gone to with this Mellick chap. Tell me, what happens if I actually try and buy one of his books on Amazon? I mean, how do you manage to maintain an Amazon ad for something that doesn't exist?

I mean
Some friends and I once made up a band, complete with history, back catalogue and lyrics, just to see what would happen we we posted it, but that was all done in one gin-fuelled weekend.... but this is above and beyond.

It freaked me out a bit. I ended up emailing him asking what the fuck he was doing with my face and why he had put stupid mutton chops on it.
He explained that in the near future, I upset so many people that I escape by going back to the year 2000 and pretending to be an American author. So apparently, I AM him. That or he was fibbing.

Also, I got him to read a copy of my poetry book.
He said he liked the cover but the poems were crap.
So there. A REAL AUTHOR LIKES MY WORK.
