I had a second hand Chimera 4 litre high compression.
Never had a problem with it. I was gutted when I had to sell it (I was skint so it had to go). Brilliant car.

Chimeras had Rover V8s though, didn't they?
Cerbera and the Tuscan were the first ones to get the TVR V8 which, I'm told, is a little "sensitive"

Yep it had the rover engine - 3.5 from the rover SD1, bored out to 4L.

I'm tempted to be honest - a good one is only 7 or 8K now, and I really do like them
but I know, deep down, it'll always be a second best choice, because the Tuscan is fucking beautiful.

That Rover engine is "reliable" though.
You'd likely get to drive it more.

My Dad had an SD1
so I feel those speech marks.

British Leyland rustiness at it's finest.
Horrendous electrical problems too.

If you get one, make sure it has had the 60,000 mile cambelt change, otherwise you are in for a £2k bill.
