I think so.
I mean if you can't watch grey stuff, fine, but it doesn't have any bearing on the plot or the characters etc etc etc blah

You misunderstand me
Some directors specifically choose to use black and white for the purpose of the film (cf Raging Bull).
I'm not particularly "into film" but I know many directors treat it as an art form like any other. In that case aesthetics, such as colour, are very important.
