This Earthflight is boss.
I'm going to start watching telly again.
So far there's Poirot, that new thing with Zooey Deschanel, Bullseye, Only Fools and Horses, This Week and Saturday Kitchen that I could watch.

Get yourself a DVR or Sky+ or some kind of TV recorder and you'll never have to watch adverts or shit TV ever again ever.

That's the way to do it.

My TV system is fucking wicked, only thing I would do differently would be get a duel-tuner usb tv card.
It's great even without the internet, but when I get myself online, and the remote control arrives (I'm currently using a wireless keyboard and mouse), it'll be even better.

See I love the idea of doing something like that,
but I just don't think I could cope with moving my wine rack out the way and having to run an ethernet cable around the fireplace.

IR receivers. If you're serious about wanting to do something like that
I can bore you for hours with advice. That shit is kind of my deal.

Not IR, what a dick. I thought you meant a remote control system like Gonz. Standard def TV streams wirelessly pretty well, you wouldn't need to run a cable if you had some form of receiving box at the other end. Something some like WDTV might be able to do it.

Would I have to wear a star trek uniform to watch it?

Only if you wanted to. You've got a wife, it'd be too much of a hassle for her to leave you over it
so you totally could.

I reckon I might test this gently at first by watching some TNG while she's in the room.
