Well, as it happens I have cooked a Hare Rogan Josh today.
I shot the hare last year, September I think?
Didn't fancy jugging it like I would normally do and actually fancied something a bit spicy.
And then it struck me that hare is a bit kinda lamby/muttony and would probably do well as a substitute in a Rogan Josh. It was either that or Rendang but frankly that would have taken all fucking day.
Also I've been out for a bit of a spin (175 Lake District miles) in the new motor. Fun was had ;)

Wow, seriously!!!
Used birds eye chillis to make chilli powder, but didn't grind it up properly fine so the heat just keeps on coming!!!
Apart from that I'd say not quite enough asafoetida in the marinade and the whole thing probably not cooked for long enough. Maybe 2 1/2 hrs @ 140c would have done it?
Anyway, well tasty and there's LOADS left for making a pie on Tuesday!
Might even make my own pastry this time, normally use Jus'Roll.
