I'm not really sure there is that much totally unbiased science left. I mean, my money comes from the UK and Scottish government, so is claimed to be without prejudice, but they have panels to decide where to prioritise funding, and those panels often have vested interests or can be "influenced" by companies. Particluarly those paying lots and lots of tax.
