So perhaps if we charge headfirst at each other, the spiders will follow me, and the flies will follow you, and suddenly get distracted by each other, leaving us to sneak off, free of arachnids and dipterans.

or possibly just lure them all into a room and then make use of some accelerant and a match.

That would also be a good idea, and would reduce the risk of concussion.
But yeah, can't complain. Well, I shouldn't, but I do. But there will be cake in a couple of minutes. That will help. Good to see you're still alive and (hopefully) well.

Can't remember what type of cake...someone else is supplying it. (Friday afternoon cake is one of the many things I shall miss from my soon-to-be-ex research group.)
