What did you think on Castiel?
And Season 5 is ace, it really is. Has some brilliant episodes, and probably the best finale of the entire show.

Because by the end of series 4 it was just getting a bit painful

that's when it gets painful. Ackles is clearly the better actor, though that's not saying much

Ackles doesn't have to do much other than be cool, which he pulls off with aplomb
And he's so ridiculously handsome it wouldn't matter if he was shite. Padalecki has the weightier role and just doesn't have the chops for it. He only seems to have two facial expressions, including his "curling out a hard poo" one for when he's killin' demons.
