Evening all
Londoners: If you were going to be working near Moorgate, where would be a good place to rent a flat? Zone 1 looks pretty expensive.

I have had a cheese and brisket sandwich and am now pretty tired of Brisket.

You can go zone 5 Enfield, train'll take 20-25 minutes. Considerably cheaper.

Ta
That'll be actual trains rather than Underground, yeah?
(, Sat 10 Mar 2012, 20:33, Reply)
Ya, straight into moorgate, loads better than the under ground. Anywhere zone 3,4,5 on that trainline. Finsbury park would end up more expensive bit morning commute of 15 minutes which is fuck all for London

Cool
Off to look on Zoopla for flats in Finsbury Park.
(, Sat 10 Mar 2012, 20:53, Reply)
When do you start?

(, Sat 10 Mar 2012, 21:01, Reply)
I haven't even had a phone interview yet
But I'm trying to get a feel for how it might be if I got offered it. How expensive it is to live down there and such.
(, Sat 10 Mar 2012, 21:05, Reply)
How is it looking, will it be more lucrative being in the capital?

(, Sat 10 Mar 2012, 21:14, Reply)
I still don't see why you associate me with Fruitella.

(, Sat 10 Mar 2012, 21:38, Reply)
Probably about half again as much salary
Which would be nice. More pressure though, going from the Civil Service to OTC derivative processing systems.

Nothing to lose by being in the game, Lighty.

(, Sat 10 Mar 2012, 21:54, Reply)
Tru dat
except for, you know, not being able to take the pressure and getting sacked after 6 months so having given up a safe and decently paid job with a great pension and moving to a city where I know only b3tans.
