Oh man, they sent around an office email today introducing me and they called me a "front end developer", which has made me worried a bit...
... because I don't want a job being a front end developer, I do sooo much more than that, that would only be using about 1/3 half of my skills. Maybe even less. All I've been doing this week is front-end, but thats only natrual because it comes first and I've only been there a couple of days and they said on friday I'm gonna be given my first [back end] work.

Basically front end is what a customer sees,
back end is all the stuff that makes it work.

Front end is what you see on a page, back end is what generates it.
I've just gone through the contract and it's "PHP / Front-end", but when we were talking, we were talking mostly back-end, things like facebook apps and stuff like that. I wanted 70% back/ 30% front. I'll stay with it for a month or soo and see how it pans out.
